Ace Packaging Solutions Supports a Mission to Help Honduran Communities
Crossroads Community Church is heading up a mission trip this June in the mountain villages near San Pedro Sula, Honduras. This opportunity will allow mission members the chance to experience a different way of life and make a positive impact on a community in need.
With 48.2% of Honduras’ population living below the poverty line, it is a widespread issue that affects many citizens across the country, especially those living in more rural areas. To put the poverty the country experiences in perspective, about one in five Hondurans live on less than $1.90USD per day. And while more than 60% of Hondurans’ poor live in rural communities, urban and city poverty has been on the rise.
Natural disasters such as hurricane Eta and Lota, political conditions, high unemployment rates, and overall high crime help contribute to the country’s poverty. The conditions of Honduras create challenges for families across the nation with many being limited in the resources available to them – lacking in sufficient medical care, education, transportation, and basic living necessities that we often take for granted.
Ace Packaging Solutions is proud and excited to be able to support and contribute to a cause and mission like the one Crossroads leads. If you are interested in donating to help cover the trips costs including medical supplies, school supplies, clothing, and living essentials, we encourage you to reach out to Bob Yackley or visit the GoFundMe page Ace Packaging has set up. 100 percent of the funds raised go straight to the mission – Administrative costs are covered by the volunteers making the trip.
